Bath Depot recently did a shower installation in Westlake, OH for our new clients who felt it was time to get their old bath space replaced. Michael really disliked the original-to-the-home bathtub, so after moving his mother into his home in Westlake, he felt that it was needed to address the accessibility concerns for the space. The aesthetics and design choices were simply a bonus! It was pretty cut and dry in that the main concern was to eliminate the bathtub and replace the unit with a much more user-friendly walk-in shower system. Particular elements such as grab bars and a folding seat were key factors that Michael wanted to explore, also. But with Bath Depot, we really liked how well the representative had our best interests in mind, and guided us along the way.” The space now, is so much brighter and roomier. In addition, the “realistic” quality of the wall surround partnered with the rain shower head makes the space really enjoyable. With this being the only bathroom in the home, it was a long-running dilemma as to whether to convert the space or not; for Michael in particular, even though it wasn’t a major concern, would, or could taking a tub out of the home detract the home value for the future? “Bath Depot’s showroom space was a big proponent that helped us make, what we feel, a truly sound decision. Actually seeing products and examples was really neat. Oftentimes when looking on the internet, “accessible shower” searches on Google lead you to handicap wet spaces or inserts that you would commonly find in a hospital setting. The showroom provided us with examples, proving that we could make the space our own, with modern fixtures, fresh colors, and safety features that blend into the overall design.”
